Ante Rebić had opportunities to take the lead for his side in the latter half of the match, but he could not find the target. Nevertheless, he was responsible for setting up Sandro Tonali, who broke the deadlock near the end of the contest. With the victory, Milan jumped to a third of the Serie A table with 23 points.
