The disappointing news was out as the French defender suffered from a calf issue during his time with France’s U21 national team. He then returned to Milan for medical check and the result was not positive.

It is believed that the 22-year-old centre-back will certainly sit out on Sunday as Rossoneri visiting Napoli at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona when Serie A 2022/23 resumes with Matchday 28.

Milan fans hope they will have their defender back at least for the return match of the Champions League quarterfinal at the Maradona on 19th of April.

However, the club is trying to avoid relapse as they are monitoring the Lyon-born footballer closely and not push things too much.

Kalulu has been Milan’s key player since his move in 2020, with the youngster played 37 games in all competitions so far this season, and the same amount of games at the season when Milan won Scudetto.

According to Opta, Kalulu is the only AC Milan player to have played in all 37 of the Rossoneri’s games this season in all competitions.

Kalulu’s comeback, possibly at the second leg will be a huge boost for Il Diavolo as he has been the trusted shield partnering Tomori at the back.
