Milan Transfer – Youssef En-Nesyri rejected Rossoneri
Milan Transfer – AC Milan had a busy transfer window in the summer of 2023, with the latest arrival being Luka Jovic. However, it was supposed to be another high-profile talisman from La Liga: Youssef En-Nesyri.
AC Milan’s squad cost after heavy Summer reinforcements
According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sportitalia), the UEFA Europa League winner En-Nesyri was only one step away from joining Stefano Pioli’s squad during the transfer window deadline day.
Milan and La Liga side Sevilla agreed on the terms of the deal; only approval from the Morocco ace would have materialized the agreement.
They would have signed the centre-forward based on a €6m paid loan and a €25m option to buy, an offer that the La Liga club thought was fair.
However, it was the Moroccan international himself who interrupted the negotiations and refused the move to Milan, not wanting to leave on loan. As a result, the Rossoneri turned to Luka Jovic.
In a bigger picture, Milan are full of attackers, with Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud, who have been consistent, while the arrivals of Christian Pulisic, Jovic, and Noah Okafor are bringing more options and back-up plans for different competitions.
