Pulisic officially joins Milan, wearing #11
AC Milan sign Christian Pulisic from Chelsea for £18.8m, and the American winger will wear number 11 at San Siro.
The 24-year-old star has inked a four-year contract with the Serie A side, with the option for an additional year.
‘Captain America’ will join Olivier Giroud, Fikayo Tomori, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, his teammates at Chelsea. Tomori and Giroud had proven to be Milan’s best signings in the last few years, while Loftus-Cheek and Pulisic will now have their chances.
Adama Traore is no longer Milan’s target
The Spanish winger was one of Milan’s desired players, but it is no longer an active project.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Milan are out of the race to sign the winger and will prioritize other targets. A Serie A rival, AS Roma, is still in the race to sign the free-agent but have yet to make an official offer.
Tijjani Reijnders updates
It is reported that AZ Alkmaar have again rejected an offer from Milan for Tijjani Reijnders, but the two clubs are likely to do a deal for €22m.
The Rossoneri had already seen one proposal turned down and increased it to circa €18m.
At the same time, AZ Alkmaar are also prepared to lower the initial €25m asking price after work from the player and his intermediaries.
Therefore, they should be able to do a deal over the next few days for a total of €22-23m, including performance-related bonuses that are relatively easy to attain.
After letting Sandro Tonali join Premier League side Newcastle for €80m, including add-ons. Milan’s manager Stefano Pioili has searched for a replacement, and the Dutch midfielder is ideal.
Fode Ballo-Toure may join Ligue 1 side OGC Nice
According to Calciomercato.com, Ballo-Toure was first approached by Bologna, but he is now in the sights of Ligue 1 side Nice, who are keen on signing him.
No official offer so far, but Nice are aiming for a permanent deal.
After the contacts between the player’s agent and Nice, Milan is waiting for an offer, hoping to net around €4m which would generate a capital gain in the accounts.
