Offers for Origi and Rebic
According to Calciomercato, Croatian striker Rebic received an unnamed Saudi Arabian club offer. Meanwhile, former Liverpool’s Origi got the same from the Middle East league.
However, the duo both said no and are keen on staying at San Siro.
Origi and Rebic thought they could still compete at top levels instead of moving to Saudi Arabia, where multiple stars from top European leagues have chosen to.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, and Edouard Mendy joined the rising championships in Arabia.
Not just that, there has been interest from Besiktas for Rebic, but Rossoneri only wants to sell out the players, while the Turkish side would take him as a loan transfer only.
In addition, Besiktas and Milan need to agree on wages for Rebic.
Struggling at Milan for both
Both strikers are out of favor and are considered completely removed from manager Stefano Pioli’s plans for next season.
The Rossoneri bought the Belgian striker from Liverpool for free last Summer, but Origi failed to live up to his reputation of being a big match player.
Origi has endured a miserable campaign, failing to nail down a regular spot in the starting XI under Stefano Pioli. He has made only six starts of 25 games this season, scoring twice.
Milan could pull a massive clear-out this Summer, while some big names have parted ways, like Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Milan could be heading for a squad shake-up in the Summer following a disappointing campaign.
