Shortly after, Torino’s Perr Schuurs leveled from his side’s first opportunity, but a successful penalty from Giroud in the 43rd minute put Milan ahead again.
The VAR check was lengthy, as there was a handball call against Alessandro Buongiorno, but it was worth the wait for the home fans.
Thanks to a goal from Theo Hernandez, it was already three before the break, as Milan went into the second half full of confidence. The team captain clipped home a delightful third from an acute angle after being played in by Rafael Leao in added time in the first half.
Another VAR review resulted in Milan’s second penalty in the 65th minute; Schurrs was correctly deemed guilty of a late challenge on Leao via VAR as he sped into the area. Giroud calmly converted the shot to fulfill his double in a productive day in the office of the French talisman.
Milan aim for a perfect run
Stefano Pioli’s side has been on fire since the start of the new season, probably courtesy of the mixed results during the pre-season friendlies.
Crashing Bologna 2-0 in the opener, Rossoneri went on to ease past Torino; Pulisic and Giroud have been crucial in front of the goals.
Next up for the run will be two tough tests, far from home, against Roma and rival Inter Milan.
