We had predicted a tight game as two Milan giants clashed in the ULC semifinal for the first time since 2005, but it was a dominant game for Inter.

The Milan Derby was lit, but only one side of the city could celebrate as Inter took charge of the first leg against their arch-rival at San Siro.

The home side were shaken when Lautaro Martinez seemed to be tackled down in the box by Simon Kjaer as the refree pointed to the spot-kick.

However, after reviewing by VAR, Gil Manzano overturned his call as it was a blatant dive by the Argentinian.

Milan improved after the break with chances from Brahim Diaz and Junior Messias, but no celebration from both sides in the second half.

Dzeko almost got his brace but denied by a good one-on-one save from French Maignan.

That’s all for the first leg as Inter now took a big step towards the final in Istanbul, and the Blue and Black fans are dreaming of another big-ear trophy just like the 2010 season.

For the first time since 1970-80 season, Inter grabbed their third straight win against their rival with a clean sheet. Besides, Inzaghi’s side is having better chance to qualify for UCL next season with top-four position, while Milan has been struggling to find the way in the same race.
