Born in Canada and to immigrant parents from Nigeria, the defender has made a name for himself since arriving at the San Siro after leaving Chelsea on loan, his career has shone through since leaving Stamford Bridge.
After making his full Champions League debut against Leicester in 2016, Tomori was sent to Brighton the following season on loan, which was a forgettable debut when he scored the own goal that saw them eliminated from the FA Cup. He then corrected himself by playing a small role in helping the team get promoted to play in the Premier League after finishing second in the EFL Championship.
He remained in the English second division for the next two seasons, joining Hull and Derby, becoming the 2018/19 Season’s Player of the Season, despite the Rams missing out on the EPL after losing to Aston Villa in the play-off final.
Tomori joined Chelsea after a spell at Derbyshire, where he made 22 appearances, scoring twice, including a long-range goal against Wolves that earned him the Best Goal of the Season award.
Despite shining in the youth shirt of the Three Lions, winning the FIFA World Cup U20 in 2017, he has only played three times for the national team since his debut in the 2019 season, when it was difficult because he had to compete for the centre-back position.
The following season he was asked on loan by Milan, making 17 appearances in all competitions. His performances at the time helped him be bought by the Rossoneri for 28.5 million euros, the contract until 2025.
There, he played 31 matches in Serie A, forming a solid shield to help Milan win the Scudetto.
