Udinese 3-1 AC Milan – Highlights

On his first start since January 2022, Ibrahimovic surpassed Milan legend Alessandro Costacurta and became the oldest goalscorer in Serie A history, age 41.

The Swedish striker converted a penalty in first-half stoppage time and cancelled out Roberto Pereyra’s opener at Stadio Friuli.

However, Udinese took the lead back only two minutes later, and Kingsley Ehizibue added a third in the 70th minute, sealing eighth-placed Udinese’s first home league win since September.

Home team was the better side and it did not take them long to demonstrate their determination against the league reigning champions.

Isamael Bennacer’s pass was intercepted before Lazar Samardzic setting up for Pereyra to roll the ball out of Mike Maignan’s reach.

Rossoneri was handed a penalty just before half-tim when Jaka Bijol handled the ball during his attempt to dispossess Rafael Leao inside they area.

41-year-old Ibrahimovic stepped up and fired a rocket in to level the game, but it took him the second time to score. Marco Silvestri initially saved well from Ibra’s penalty down to his left, but Beto’s encroachment handed the Sweden forward another chance, which he did not waste.

Beto then redeemed himself as he was benefited from Isaac Success’ fine work to restore the hosts’ lead and somehow dented Milan’s hope for a comeback.

It was all over for Stefano Pioli’s side, when Kingsey Ehibizue scored from an easy tap-in from Destiny Udogie’s mishit shot, while Milan’s players protested for offside, but the goal stood.

Milan suffered from a fifth defeat in their last nine league games, and may have to start accept that the top-four hopes is far and away.

Meanwhile, Udinese climb to eighth as they look to close in on the European places themselves
