AC Milan released new kits for 2023/24 season
In the present days of football, a new and top star could bring many benefits to the club, both in tactics and economic aspects. Things have been proven by the effects of superstars like David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, or Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Massive shirt sales thanks to Pulisic
In recent years, the American is unarguably one of the top footballers; that’s why Stefano Pioli’s side AC Milan wanted the winger.
His arrival will bring more options and versatility to the attack lines of the club, but even before the new season kicks off, Pulisic has already made an enormous impact.
CEO Furlani has revealed that the sale of the £17-million summer signing’s No.11 jersey has exploded in his homeland, the USA.
He told ESPN: “We saw a big uptake in interest in the U.S. The AC Milan shirts we sold in the U.S. in the week after [Pulisic] signed, 90%-plus were [No.] 11 Pulisic. We definitely saw that and hopefully it will continue. I’m sure it will.”
The club hopes the interest continues to grow when the 24-year-old winger has his official debut in the Serie A and other elite competitions next season, 2023/24.
Pulisic struggled to get going at Chelsea. He made 24 Premier League appearances last season but started just eight. He appears to be off to a good start in Italy, though, having registered two assists in a friendly against Lumezzane before getting another against Real Madrid.
